After purchasing a lakefront cottage for my family in the Spring of 2013 that was in need of some repairs I found few nearby services through common web and yellow page searches. As I got to know local residents I found that many local services and businesses are promoted only by word of mouth or through social media sites, requiring a user login and profile.
The community website concept provides a well organized public site. Responsive design customizes pages to be easily read on personal computers, tablets, and cell phones. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) increases your odds of being found on the web.
Hosting with full service publishing assistance is offered for a fraction of what websites would cost individually. From simple banner advertising to full web site development, my pricing model can only be accomplished through crowd sourcing. Once expenses are met I give profits back.
I do not rely on outside advertisers to monetize this site. This keeps the content local and relevant.
My education in electronics started before personal computers and cellular devices were common household items. I am now semi retired from the public safety segment of a fortune 500 company where I worked with many technologies not available to the general public while continuing my education in many subjects including website design & development.
I also participated in various volunteer organizations my entire career. Lakeside Tech was created to support these endeavors. I take the time to help my clients make the right choice when registering and hosting their site.
